BUTCHER, Nathaniel Morgan - Putnam

   Nathaniel Morgan Butcher, d. yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mabel Irwin, 305 N Forest Ave, where short funeral services. were held at 22:30 this morning by Rev. WM Martin of the 1st Baptist Church. The body was then taken to Yates Center where funeral services were held in the Baptist church this afternoon. Interment was in the Yates Center cemetery. Mr. Butcher was a member of the Yates Center Baptist Church, having accept Christ early in life. He was 84 years, 6 months and 28 days old, having been born in Portland Mills, Putnam Co In Nov 30, 1837. He married Elizabeth Roach Fountain Co In Sept 22, 1859. They came to Ks. in the early 70s and settled near Buffalo. In 1897 they moved to Yates Center where his wife die din 1905 - 17 years ago today. He is survived by 5 children: two daughters and three sons. They are: Mrs. Mabel Irwin of this city; Mrs. Gertrude Swinney of Buffalo, James Butcher of Arvada, Who, Marion S. Butcher of Guilford, Mont and Charles D. Butcher of Imperial California.
